Dr. Saliha B. Selman is a psychologist and researcher. She graduated as vale-dictorian from the Psychology department at Istanbul Sehir University in Türkiye and completed her master’s degree in Psychological and Brain Sciences at Boston University. She earned her Ph.D. in Human Development & Family Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She served as a researcher at the Khalil Center, where she focused on the development of comprehensive community and professional educational programs. She also teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in various academic institutions. Central to her research is a focus on the effects of early experiences on child development. Her research specifically examines the interplay between parenting and early-life experiences, investigating their role in shaping the cognitive and behavioral development of young children.
