Dr. Khalid Elzamzamy is a Psychiatry Fellow at the Institute of Living/Hartford Healthcare in Connecticut, USA. He received his medical degree from Ain Shams University, Egypt, and completed his psychiatry residency at Hamad Medical Corporation in Doha, Qatar. He also completed a Master’s degree in Islamic Studies at Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Qatar. He serves as researcher with Khalil Center, and the Family and Youth Institute, USA. He also serves as a faculty member at The Alkaram Institute, USA. He previously served as a research assistant at Yale University. Dr. Elzamzamy's research interests lie at the interface between mental health, culture, spirituality, and religiosity.
